Water, Like Lymph

70% of the bodyweight is water. Cells are full of water and both blood and lymph are partly water. Unlike blood, water has no pump to move it around. Like lymph, water circulates because of gravity and body movement including breathing. If nothing else, this makes a strong case for being physically active and ensuring good breathing practices. Problems of water retention arise from poor water circulation. Lack of exercise can be mitigated by massage moving fluids throughout the body.

Water also has an energetic quality. Recent studies, particularly in Japan, show that the water molecules change their appearance according to various stimuli be they chemical or even emotional. For more on this subject, read The Hidden Messages in Water by Masaru Emoto.
